Biography

AOTB is a Swiss band based in Delémont. Their music stands on the border between djent and deathcore, infused with influences from various styles of extreme metal. With the powerful and aggressive eight-string guitars of Lionel Gerber and Pablo Lagares, the percussive double pedal of Thomas Lachat, the massive bass of Nil Flückiger, and the brutal vocals of Jonas Babey, the band delivers compositions that blend technicality, groove, and power. Together, they create music capable of unleashing the primal spirit within everyone.

Since its formation, AOTB has had the opportunity to share the stage with bands such as ruins of perception, Almost Human, Black Bomb A, Henriette B, Pollen, Pusboil, Mouche Miel, Adelon, Sons of Coherence, Eversis, and Colpocleisis. In 2024, the quintet joined French deathcore bands Hurakan and Kanine for several dates during the European “Hurakanine” tour.

Following the release of their debut EP Mass Brainwashing in 2019, the band embarked on the creation of a self-produced album, No Return, composed of 10 tracks. This album, in line with their earlier work, tackles contemporary themes such as societal challenges, the climate crisis, and inter-human and animal violence. These topics underscore an urgency: the breaking point where, if our society fails to make radical changes, life as we know it could become unsustainable.

To promote the album, a lyric video for the track “By The Knives” and a music video for “Bleeding Salves” were released on the YouTube channels The Circle Pit and Slam Worldwide, respectively.

No Return has been available on all streaming platforms since February 2024.
